About Me
Background
I’m Mahesh, aka Aravind Bharath, a filmmaker driven by a passion for storytelling and visual expression. I’m an Electrical Engineering graduate (2020) with around 4.5 years of experience in the IT industry, before choosing to leave my corporate career and pursue filmmaking full-time. I have completed a Short-Term Filmmaking Course at Annapurna College of Film and Media, further developing my understanding of the craft. I’m particularly drawn to stories that explore human emotions, relationships, nostalgia, and the extraordinary within everyday life. I’m continuously learning and experimenting with writing, directing, cinematography, and visual storytelling, with the goal of creating films that connect with audiences and leave a lasting impression.
Personal Interests
Beyond filmmaking, I enjoy exploring different forms of creative expression and continuously learning new skills. My interests include music, fitness, travel, drawing, and learning languages. I’m also fascinated by visual arts, cinema, culture, and new experiences, which often inspire my creative ideas and perspective as a filmmaker.
I can speak Telugu ,Hindi ,English and a bit of German.
Experience
- Assisting the Director and production team in day-to-day activities.
- Supporting script reading, scene breakdowns, and shoot coordination.
- Preparing production notes, reports, and maintaining trackers in Excel.
- Coordinating with internal teams to help ensure a smooth production process.
- Help interpret scenes and communicate the required emotions, actions, and performances to actors.
- Taking responsibility for assigned tasks and adapting quickly to the requirements of the shoot.
Note
I have also participated in a couple of auditions to gain practical exposure to the performance process and the industry.
Looking For
I’m looking for opportunities to work as an Assistant Director (AD) with experienced filmmakers, directors, and creative teams. I’m eager to gain hands-on experience, contribute to meaningful film projects, and continue developing my skills in Assistant Direction and filmmaking.
Note: Open to working as an Intern or Apprentice with the right team or project.
